โœ๏ธ Keeping the score

Recording scores

One of your team keeps the card on a phone. Everything you need is in your team pack email:

๐Ÿ“ฑ Before the day, put Countback on that phone's home screen โ€” ten seconds, here's how. It's what makes the no-signal parts of the course a non-event.

๐Ÿ”“ Getting in

Open Record scores on the event page and enter your code. It opens your team's card and nobody else's โ€” and you stay signed in all day. Hop to the leaderboard and back as often as you like; you won't be asked for the code again.

Two locks to know about. Both are deliberate:

โ›ณ During the round

The card opens on the hole you're up to. For each player, type their gross โ€” the strokes they actually took. No handicap maths. The same number you'd write on the paper card.

The points are worked out for you, right beside the box โ€” with each player's shots for the hole and their running total on their line.

๐Ÿ“ต No signal? Keep going

Parts of the course have no signal. Keep entering scores.

The screen will say "saved on this phone". Everything is kept locally and syncs by itself the moment you're back in range. A small dot marks holes still waiting to sync.

โœ… You will not lose a score to a dead spot.

๐Ÿ After the 18th

When every hole is filled in and synced, the Submit my scores button lights up.

  1. ๐Ÿ“ฎ Press it. Your card locks, so nothing gets nudged accidentally in the clubhouse.
  2. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ Made a mistake? Take my card back, fix it, submit again.

๐Ÿค Individual competitions only

Once everyone in your playing group has submitted:

๐Ÿ“‹ The one rule

The app is the live board, not the referee. The club's signed paper card is the official record โ€” fill it in and hand it in as normal. If the app and the paper ever disagree, the paper wins.
